Welcome to Internet Auto Supply - your Nissan Maxima parts specialists.
Choosing us to cater to your Nissan Maxima needs is more than simply choosing parts from a catalog.
We’re Maxima enthusiasts. Our knowledge of the Nissan Maxima is extensive. Caring for them is our specialty.
First introduced as the Datsun 810 Maxima in 1981, the instantly popular sedan would soon become Nissan’s flagship offering.
Unlike subsequent generations, which eventually switched to a front-wheel drive platform, the first generation Nissan Maxima was rear-wheel drive.
The first generation Nissan Maxima was produced until 6/84, and can be identified as such by markings located on the driver’s doorjamb.
In June of 1984, Nissan switched from the rear-wheel platform to a front- wheel drive platform. This also marked the introduction of V6 engine (known as a VG30E).
The first Generation Nissan Maxima had an inline 6 cylinder motor that was originally used in the Nissan 240Z.
The VG30E motor was found in both the 1985-1994 Nissan Maxima and the 1984-1989 Nissan 300Z.
The third Generation Nissan Maxima is considered by many to be the high point in the illustrious history of the Maxima lineup. The bodylines were cleaned up to provide clean, but not a sharp appearance. With this Maxima being a solid hit for Nissan, the Maxima would see only minor cosmetic changes over the years that followed.
The 1989-1994 Nissan Maxima continued the tradition of having all-around independent suspension. In 1992, it was given a minor facelift by way of a new grill and redesigned tail lamps. 1992 also brought about the introduction of the DOHC Nissan Maxima motor known as the VE30DE.
The VE30DE brought the Nissan Maxima Horsepower rating up to 190, and introduced to the Nissan Maxima family features such as the Coil On Plug ignition system. Each individual Nissan Maxima Cylinder got it’s own ignition coil for greater ignition efficiency. It also introduced the VTC, Valve Timing Control to the Nissan Maxima, a feature that would ultimately be discontinued in 1995 with the introduction of the VQ30DE Nissan Maxima.
The 1995 Nissan Maxima VQ30DE also was introduced without a Variable Induction System.
